The sensational attack last April 1st on an Iranian consular office in Damascus – attributed to Israel and in which, among others, a high-ranking member of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards was killed – occurs during a phase of the Middle Eastern conflict marked by intense negotiation activity among the parties.
